One step beam roll forming machine can do multiple height sizes while keeping the par size fixed. In this part of changing the height, the customer can choose manually changing spacers or automatic way which only needs to input the height value in touch screen and motors drive the structure runs to the requested position.
The pallet racking storage system has 3 basic parts: frames or uprights, beams and cross bars. In the part of beam, some customers will choose step beam and others choose box beam. This page will introduce the roll forming machine of step beam.
The step beam is L shape or P shape, thickness is generally 1.5mm-2mm. There are two types of connection at the bottom, one is forming overlap connection and the other is non-continuous spot welding connection.
Under the same thickness, the roll forming machine cost of forming overlap connection is higher than the non-continuous spot welding connection, so the latter is the more common profile of step beam.
Non-continuous spot welding connection:
The whole production process is involved in the welding part, the welding point distance is short, so we will give to install two welding machines on the left and right side of the step beam roll forming machine, while the welding machine is tracking type, there is no need to stop the forming process of roll forming machine, thus the production speed can reach 5 meters per minute.
If you still feel that the speed is slow, the tracking shear can be used in the cut length part, so that you can get a production speed of 8 meters per minute.

A single machine can produce a wide range of heights by automatic traversing, controlled by two small motors. Increasing the utilisation of the roll forming machine.
The traditional method of shearing is saw cutting, but as saw is too slow and noisy, we now prefer hydraulic shearing. Due to its P shape, we need to cut off part at the front end of the forming machine, so before roll forming rollers we put a hydraulic punch , so that we can use hydraulic shear later on, and hydraulic shear is also one blade that can cut all sizes.
This line is equipped with two welders to weld the bottom.
